Engineering
Design and process/product development are an intricate part of
Criterion’s business. We provide predictive optical analysis
prior to the design of polymer parts to help customers optimize
their product to meet or exceed expectations. Our optical
analysis process provides data required for use with cameras and
other light controlling or reflective applications.
Criterion also offers custom optical mold and part design.
The design software used
in engineering is SolidWorks which interfaces well with most design
software in the industry. Customers simply e-mail their solid
model designs, and our tooling engineers take it from there. SolidWorks is also the software used to transfer tool designs to
Surfcam which is the CAD/CAM software used for our machinery in the
tool room. This type of programming is essential for precise
fabrication of tools made in house.
Custom Optical Grade Molding is
Criterion's specialty.
In 2005, Criterion Technology, Inc. successfully completed
the certification audit for ISO 9001:2000. Our continued
certification and recent upgrade to
ISO 9001:2008
demonstrates our commitment to superior quality standards.
On-site customer audits are welcome and encouraged.
